What’s the difference between 304 and 316 stainless steel?
304 contains 18% chromium and 8% nickel while 316 contains 18% chromium, 10% nickel and 2% molybdenum. Grade 304 proves to be resistant to oxidation, corrosion, acid and alkali resistant. Grade 316 stainless steel alloy contains molybdenum(Mo) bearing it has a more resistance to corrosion than grade 304 in high temperature environments
Why stainless steel will rust ?
Stainless Steel is made of 70% iron and carbon, and anywhere from 30% contain others elements. The stainless steel is due to the special passivation protective film on the steel plate surface. Passivation film is a film based on Chromium(III)oxide(Cr 2O3) on the surface of stainless steel. Due to the presence of this film, can cause the stainless steel not to be corroded and rusted. In addition, since the installation location must be ventilated (Instructions are clearly listed in our installation). Otherwise, the chlorine in the water will adhere to the steel plate, so that the steel plate is easily destroyed.
Is stainless steel magnetic?
King Kong Stainless steel Water Tank will leave weak magnetic properties as long as it is subjected to processing friction. Since the element of 304/316 contains nickel, nickel will cause the stainless steel magnetic to disappear. However, if the finished product has a “cold processing” process or “twisted deformation”. It is possible to generate weak magnetic properties.
Why the watertank using I shape C-Channel S/S Stand for the support ?
Because the weight of the watertank can convey pressure to the I stand, so the pressure can be released out to let the watertank reach a balance point. As you can see, watertank I stand are slanted, and then there is a piece of I plate padding to prevent it from collapsing.
Why is the C-Channel S/S Stand painted?
If it is necessary to prove that it is stainless steel 304, all the surface of the steel will be carbonized after welding, and the painting is more protective and more beautiful.
Why the ventilating cap is bigger than others water tank?
Because chlorine can cause the watertank to rust, the reason for the increase in the ventilating cap is that there is chlorine in the water, and the chlorine must be quickly removed to prevent rust. In addition, the ventilating cap is enlarged to allow the watertank to have sufficient air circulation, which helps the water to flow smoothly.
