FIRE RATED POLYURETHANE JOINT SEALANT
 
Description
BOSTIK FIREBAN ONE Fire Rated Polyurethane Joint Sealant, one-component, low modulus, curing via air humidity to form a soft, elastic, fire rated, weatherproof seal that is specifically designed for sealing construction joints and perimeter joints in fire-rated structures. It has been tested and certified to meet the requirements of AS1530.4:2014 and AS4072.1:2014.
This sealant is suitable for use in a wide range of construction applications, including sealing joints in concrete floors and walls, sealing gaps between concrete and metal, and sealing joints in precast concrete panels. It is also suitable for use in applications where a high degree of movement is expected, as it has excellent flexibility and durability.
BOSTIK FIREBAN ONE Fire Rated Polyurethane Joint Sealant is easy to apply, cures quickly, and can be painted over once it has fully cured. It is also resistant to water, oil, and most common chemicals, making it a versatile and reliable solution for fire-rated joint sealing applications.
 
Uses
For sealing joints where a high performance fire rated sealant is required in areas such as :

	Penetration and core hole sealing in conjunction with fire collars or pillows

	Expansion and construction joints in precast, insitu concrete, block and brick work

	Marble, granite, GRC, CFC facades and external clading

Limitation
Not recommended for:
	- 
	Use in chlorinated water such as swimming pools, spas etc. 
- 
	Use on any material containing bitumen 
- 
	Constant immersion in salt water 
- 
	Use in glazing applications 
- 
	Application to cement based substrates within 28 days of initial pour or set 
- 
	Use in trafficable joints greater than 10mm in width 
- 
	Application at temperatures below +5°C or above +35°C 
- 
	Exposure to water and/or alcohol before it has completely cured 
- 
	Wet tooling techniques, such as soapy water 
- 
	Application in less than 6mm in width and depth
