C1 tile adhesive suitable for both internal and external applications.
Description
- Ensure the substrate is dry, sound, flat/true, and free of contaminants.
- Fix ceramic tiles dry; do not soak in water.
- Mix weberset super star with water (or latex admixture) according to the recommended ratio. Mechanical mixing is recommended.
- Spread adhesive onto the substrate at a bed thickness of 3 - 6 mm (thickness may vary depending on tile size and thickness) using a suitable notched trowel.
- Apply adhesive over no more than 1 m² at a time to prevent skin-over.
- Promptly place tiles onto the adhesive bed, twisting slightly to ensure good contact (solid bed fixing).
- Periodically touch the adhesive bed to check for skin-over. If the adhesive bed is no longer tacky/sticky, re-trowel the adhesive.
- Maintain joints approximately 2-3 mm wide between tiles.
- Remove excess adhesive from the tile surface and joints before it hardens.
- Allow to set for 24 hours before beginning grouting.
- Do not use adhesive in temperatures lower than 5°C or in damp conditions.
