Product Overview
Sika Waterbars for construction joints are used to seal "day-work" joints where casting is interrupted. Unlike expansion joints, these are intended for joints with little to no expected movement. They feature a multi-ribbed profile that creates an impenetrable barrier against water migration along the concrete interface.
-
Internal (Type V): A flat-profile waterbar cast centrally into the stop-ends. It provides a highly secure internal seal that is mandatory for critical water-retaining structures like reservoirs and basements.
-
External (Type AR): Surface-mounted waterstops fixed to the formwork before pouring. They are ideal for slabs and walls where internal reinforcement is too dense to allow for central placement.
