Product Overview
Sika Waterbar Connection Joints are specialized internal profiles used to create a watertight seal between two concrete sections where the reinforcement is discontinuous. These are primarily utilized in heavy-duty structural engineering, such as connecting new building extensions to existing concrete or in the construction of diaphragm walls (D-Walls). Because they are cast internally, they are protected by the concrete cover and are capable of withstanding extreme hydrostatic pressure.
-
Internal (Type DWall): These feature a reinforced, thicker cross-section (up to 9.5mm) to withstand the rigorous process of lowering steel cages and the high-impact flow of concrete during tremie pipe pouring. They ensure a seamless, high-integrity connection in deep basement and underground infrastructure projects.
