Product Overview

Nippon Paint NippoSEAL Anti-Leak Waterproof Clear is a high-performance water-based waterproofing clearcoat specifically engineered for bathroom and balcony tiles. Formulated with a distinctive emulsion and selective additives, it creates a weather-resistant, transparent film that effectively stops water seepage through grout lines and porous tiles.

This "no-hacking" waterproofing solution is ideal for homeowners looking for a quick, durable, and aesthetic fix for leaks. Because it is a single-component, ready-to-use product, it simplifies repairs while providing excellent adhesion to various tile types, including porcelain, ceramic, and homogeneous tiles. With its anti-skid properties and UV resistance, it ensures safety and longevity for both interior and exterior wet areas.

Technical Data

• Drying Time (Touch Dry): 4 – 6 hours (depending on temperature and humidity).

• Drying Time (Hard Dry): ≤ 24 hours.

• Recoating Time: Minimum 16 hours.

• Full Curing Time: 7 days.

• Theoretical Coverage: ~0.13 kg/m² per coat (approx. 7-8 m² per 1kg pack for one coat).

• Recommended Thickness: 35 – 40 μm DFT per coat.

• Solid Content: 35% – 40%.

• Cleaning Solvent: Water.

Application Instructions

• No. of Coats: 3 coats (recommended for maximum protection).

• Thinning: DO NOT ADD WATER. Ready to use as is.

• Application Method: Brush or Roller (Long hair roller is preferable for even distribution).

Surface Preparation

• Cleaning: Soap and rinse with clean water to remove dirt, oil, and grease. Use a wire brush for heavily contaminated grout.

• Repair: Damaged grout lines should be repaired and leveled before sealing.

• Dryness: Ensure the tile surface and grout are completely dry before application. Avoid applying on damp surfaces.

Maintenance Note

• Use a soft bristle brush and mild detergent for routine cleaning.

• Avoid scouring pads or abrasive cleaners that may scratch the clear protective film.

• Not recommended for application on top of silicone sealants.
