Kitchen Story Sdn. Bhd. completed this custom carpentry project at The Address Boutique, Bukit Jambul, Bayan Lepas, Penang, featuring both dry and wet kitchen cabinets, a built-in dressing table, and a full-height wardrobe with a hidden door concept.

The client wanted a clean, practical and modern design that could maximise storage while keeping the interior visually simple. We used a white and wood-tone colour combination to create a bright, neat and timeless look suitable for condominium living in Bayan Lepas.

Solutions

We used a clean white melamine base to keep the space bright, then introduced wood-tone melamine panels as feature accents. This helped the cabinet design look warmer without affecting the modern minimalist direction.

For the wardrobe with hidden door, the panel lines were planned to make the door appear as part of the wardrobe structure. Full-height cabinet proportions were used to improve visual consistency and maximise storage.

For the kitchen, the dry and wet areas were planned according to appliance position, sink location, cooking workflow and storage needs. Quartz stone was selected for the countertop because it provides a durable and easy-to-maintain work surface for daily kitchen use.
